League Rules
Every frame counts. Know the rules. Compete with integrity.
Handicap scoring is based on 90% of 230 using each player’s rolling 3-game average, capped at 90 pins. This keeps competition fair and rewards bowling above your current average.
League points are score-based, not placement-based. Each event counts once per player, same-event submissions are averaged into one official result, and team members receive a small bonus for competing as part of a team.
Handicap = min((230 - Rolling Avg (3)) × 0.90, 90). Handicap never drops below 0 and never rises above 90.
Only the 3 most recent approved event results count. If a player submits multiple approved scores in one event, those scores are averaged into one official event result before handicap updates.
Each event only counts once per player. Multiple approved submissions during the same event are averaged together, then shown as one official Raw Score, Handicap Score, and Over/Under result.
Achievement badges are permanent bonuses worth 1 to 5 points each. Badge points do not replace event points — they add directly to your Score tally.

League Format
- The Signature Bowling League consists of 5 total events throughout the season.
- All Signature Aviation veterans are eligible to participate.
- Players must be registered on the platform to compete officially.
- Each player must compete in at least 3 events to be eligible for the grand prize.
- The program covers one bowling game and one pair of rental shoes per participant per month.
Official Handicap Model
- Handicap is automatic and is never entered manually during score submission.
- The league uses a dynamic rolling 3-game handicap model.
- Base score: 230.
- Percentage: 90%.
- Maximum handicap: 90 pins.
- Formula: Handicap = min((230 - Rolling Avg (3)) × 0.90, 90).
- If a player has no approved games yet, handicap is 0 and the player is marked as No Average Yet.
- If a rolling average is 230 or higher, handicap is 0.
Rolling Avg (3) Rules
- Only approved scores are used.
- The system uses each player’s 3 most recent approved scores.
- If a player has fewer than 3 approved scores, all available approved scores are used.
- Pending or rejected scores do not affect handicap.
- Handicap updates automatically after score approval, edits, or removals.
Score Submission
- Submit scores through the Submit Scores page during or after each event.
- Up to 3 games may be entered for each submission.
- Players may submit scores more than once during the same event.
- If multiple submissions are approved for the same player in the same event, those approved event scores are averaged into one official event result.
- Photo proof of the scoresheet is strongly encouraged.
- All submissions are reviewed by league administrators before they count.
- Fraudulent scores will result in immediate disqualification.
What the App Shows
- Raw Score: your official event score after approved same-event submissions are averaged together.
- Rolling Avg (3): the average of your 3 most recent approved event results before the current result.
- Handicap: the automatic pin value generated from the rolling average.
- Handicap Score: Raw Score + Handicap.
- Over/Under: Raw Score - Rolling Avg (3).
Points System
- Weekly/event rankings may still show handicap results, but league points no longer come from event placement.
- Each event counts once per player, even if that player submits multiple approved scores during the event.
- When multiple approved submissions exist in the same event, those scores are averaged into one official event result before points are awarded.
- Each official event result earns scaled points directly from Handicap Score.
- Scaled score formula: points start at roughly 1 point for every 10 handicap-adjusted pins.
- Raw-score band bonus is added on top to reward stronger actual bowling.
- Raw score band bonus: 175-199 = +2 · 200-224 = +4 · 225-249 = +6 · 250-299 = +8 · 300 = +10.
- Each official approved event result also receives 10 participation points.
- Highest single game still receives a 5 point bonus.
- Additional social points still apply when league social scoring is enabled by admin.
Anti-Sandbagging Policy
- The rolling 3-game model keeps handicap current.
- Because handicap updates from recent approved results, players are rewarded for bowling above their current form.
- This system reduces long-term advantage from intentionally low scores.
Tie-Breakers
- Ties are broken first by total handicap-adjusted score across all approved events.
- Second tie-breaker: total raw score across all approved events.
- Third tie-breaker: highest single game score across the season.
- Fourth tie-breaker: most approved events completed.
Sportsmanship
- All participants are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism.
- Respectful competition and community behavior is required at all times.
- Trash talk should remain friendly and consensual.
- Any participant found engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct may be suspended.
Social Platform Guidelines
- Posts and comments must be respectful and work-appropriate.
- Do not share private or sensitive information about colleagues.
- Photos from events may be shared — obtain consent where appropriate.
- Content may be moderated or removed by administrators at any time.
- Repeated violations may result in platform restrictions.
Grand Prize — Orlando Trip
- The grand prize is awarded to the 8 individual with the highest total league points at season end.
- Prize race projections and standings use the live approved data shown in the app.
- The prize winner must have participated in at least 3 of 5 events.
- Prize conditions may be updated by administrators throughout the season.
- All decisions by league administrators are final.
